🏫 What is RIMC?

Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) is a prestigious residential military school located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It is administered by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. It trains young cadets for careers in the Indian Armed Forces and prepares them for entry into NDA (National Defence Academy).

✅ Eligibility Criteria (RIMC)

📚 Class & Education

Must be studying in Class VII or have passed Class VII from a recognized school.

🎂 Age Limit

For Class VIII entry:
Minimum age: 11 years
Maximum age: below 13 years
(as on 1 January or 1 July of the term)

👦👧 Gender

Both boys and girls can apply.

Conducted twice a year (January & July terms)

1. Written Examination

Subjects & Marks:

• Mathematics – 200
• General Knowledge – 75
• Total: 400

✔ Minimum 50% in each subject required

2. Viva Voce (Interview)

Only for qualified candidates
Marks: 50
Minimum 50% required
Tests personality, communication, confidence

3. Medical Examination

Conducted at military hospitals
Only medically fit candidates are selected
